The Man Behind the Baton

On November 19, 2013, the AFLPO was host to an exclusive event at the British Consulate in New York where Sir Clive Gillinson, Executive and Artistic Director of Carnegie Hall, interviewed Vladimir Jurowski, Principal Conductor of the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Music Director of Glyndebourne Opera Festival. Sir Clive asked about the conductor’s perspective, from both the pit and the podium, his artistry and musical passions, and the influences that have driven Vladimir’s fascinating and successful career. The informative discussion was captured on video, which you can watch above.

Hors d’ oeuvres and refreshments were served and guests had the opportunity to ask questions and personally meet both Sir Clive and Vladimir after their discussion.
